John Weiser

Board Member, Westminster Theological Seminary , In Medias Res


John Weiser spent his first 21 years in Bloomington, Indiana as the son of a professor of music at Indiana University. There he graduated from IU in business administration and began his business career with National City Bank in Cleveland, Ohio where he was first exposed to the realm of institutional investments and has never left that path.

With several intermediate stops, he has spent the last 23 of 35 years and continues to work in his specialty of global fixed income investments with a private “hedge fund” in Texas.

John was a founder and Elder at Fort Worth Presbyterian Church, PCA, until his recent move to Charlottesville, Va. He has served on the Board of Trustees at Westminster Theological Seminary for 14 years, and currently serves on the board of In Medias Res, a support foundation for the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture at the University of Virginia.

He and his wife of 42 years, Terri, have three daughters and 6 grandchildren.
