Ron Ferner

Dean of the School of Business and Leadership, Philadelphia Biblical University


Ron joined Philadelphia Biblical University in 1997 after retiring from Campbell Soup Company.
He presently serves as Dean of the School of Business and Leadership, and Chair of the Undergraduate Business Administration program.

Ron developed the Bachelor of Science—Business Administration degree program for Philadelphia Biblical University (PBU). He has created a program that allows students to apply their classroom knowledge in real-world situations through a faculty-mentored internship program and community service projects. Ron is currently in the process of developing an MBA Program for Philadelphia Biblical University. The planned start date for this program is the fall of 2010, and is set to have a positive influence in the development of leaders in the business and non-profit sectors.

During his career at Campbell’s, he held plant manager positions at several Campbell plants including Fremont, Nebraska; Worthington, Minnesota; and Chicago, Illinois. Ron also held management assignments at Campbell’s World Headquarters in Camden, New Jersey including Vice President – Operations/Logistics Strategy. He was transferred to Sacramento, California as Vice President – Manufacturing, Western Region. His last assignment was at Campbell’s World Headquarters in Camden, New Jersey as Vice President Low Cost Business Systems responsible for improving manufacturing and customer service processes throughout the company.

Ron received a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
