William Sutter

Executive Director, The Friends of Israel

Bill Sutter is Executive Director of The Friends of Israel, a Christian organization headquartered in Deptford, New Jersey, and founded in Philadelphia in 1938 by Christians determined to minister to Europe’s beleaguered Jewish population. Today The Friends of Israel is well known in evangelical circles as a worldwide Christian ministry communicating biblical truth about Israel and the Messiah, while fostering solidarity with the Jewish people.

His lifelong service with Christian ministries began with Philadelphia Biblical University and has included a variety of leadership positions. He provides counsel to numerous Christian organizations and maintains several board memberships and officerships.

Bill is well known in Christian circles and among the Jewish people for his teaching on God’s promises to the Jewish people and for his activities in support of Israel, and in opposition to anti-Semitism. He also provides sought after insights on radical Islam’s threats to both Christians and Jews.

Bill was selected by the government of Israel to represent Christians and join the Israeli delegation to the launch of NASA’s ill-fated space shuttle, Columbia, which carried Col. Ilan Ramon, Israel’s first astronaut. The Jewish Community Relations Council of Southern New Jersey awarded Bill its Israel Solidarity Award in appreciation for his strong support of Israel and close working relationship with the Jewish Community.

He has been widely interviewed and quoted in the Jewish, Christian, and secular broadcast and print media. His interest in Israel and burden for the Jewish people can be traced back to his family who taught from the Bible the importance for Christians to love the Jewish people and support Israel as the homeland for God’s Chosen People.

Our Mission: We want to stimulate thoughtful debate and presentation of controversial issues on radio and television news and public affairs shows by representing guests who have something to say, and who know how to say it.
