David Bossie

President, Citizens United


David N. Bossie is the president of Citizens United and Citizens United Foundation, both of which are conservative grassroots organizations headquartered in Washington, DC.

Bossie is the former chief investigator for the United States House of Representatives Committee on Government Reform and Oversight. During Bill Clinton’s two terms as president, he led investigations ranging from the Whitewater land deal to the illegal transfer of dual-use technology to China and the illegal foreign money schemes in the 1996 Clinton re-election campaign.

Bossie is the executive producer of several award-winning documentaries. Border War: The Battle over Illegal Immigration premiered in theaters across the country to standing-room-only audiences and was released on DVD on October 15, 2006. ACLU: At War with America was released in December 2006. In 2004 he produced Celsius 41.11, the conservative response to Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11. In 2005, with actor Ron Silver, he produced Broken Promises: The United Nations at 60.

Bossie is the author of Intelligence Failure: How Bill Clinton’s National Security Policy Set the Stage for 9/11 (2004; Nelson Current); The Many Faces of John Kerry: Why This Massachusetts Liberal Is Wrong for America (2004; Nelson Current); and Prince Albert: The Life and Lies of Al Gore (2000; Merill), which he co-wrote with Floyd Brown.

Born in Boston, Boston attended the University of Maryland. He has proudly served for the last 17 years as a volunteer firefighter in Montgomery County, Maryland, where he resides with his wife, Susan, and their three children; Isabella, Griffin and Lily Campbell.
