William Devlin

Senior Pastor-Manhattan Bible Church


Bill Devlin is the senior pastor of one of the largest congregations in Northern Manhattan, Manhattan Bible Church. The church also operates a K-8 school with 340 children; a soup kitchen that has served over one million meals since 1988; an after-school program for community children; free marriage mentoring; a community basketball league for children 7-15 years of age.

He has appeared on "It's Your Call with Lynn Doyle", NBC, ABC, CBS, Comedy Central, and NPR. Mr. Devlin has authored articles for the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia Daily News, Philadelphia Tribune, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, New York Times, Focus on the Family Citizen Magazine and many other publications.

A decorated Vietnam combat veteran, Bill received the distinguished Purple Heart, Combat Action Medal and a meritorious Unit Commendation Award. He served on Acting PA Governor Mike Fisher’s Domestic Violence Task Force; Philadelphia Mayor John Street’s Transition Team; and PA Senator Rick Santorum’s Operation Good Neighbor Foundation Board of Advisors. Devlin speaks at numerous professional and academic conferences and forums nationwide.

In 2006, along with his Wall Street and charitable duties, Mr. Devlin was asked to travel to Afghanistan, Lebanon, Israel, Uganda and Sudan to get first hand reports on these international hot spots in the world.

Devlin is a registered nurse, a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary, a former Wall Street head-hunter for Guardian Life, married to his wife Nancy for 32 years. They are the proud parents of five grown children, and received the National Parents of the Year Award from President George W. Bush in 2001.
